My Girls

While taking portraits in Lincoln's Sunken Gardens for my brother's family, I couldn't resist capturing my own two adorable girlies while I was there.  It was a warm evening, but my girls were ready to ham it up for the camera (which is so unusual!).  I was so happy they willingly cooperated.

Riley + Erin {Wedding: Part 2}

After the portraits in the Ped Mall, we headed over to the University of Iowa Athletic Hall of Fame.  Can I just say, this is one of the most awesome locations I've shot at in a while.  The large windows in there are a photographer's dream.  Plus, it is just a nice, open venue.

Recently, I headed out to Nebraska to visit my brother's family.  While we were there, I had the opportunity to capture their family portraits at Lincoln's gorgeous Sunken Gardens.  I love this location and am beyond amazing that is 100% volunteer created.  Wonderful!

Riley + Erin {Wedding: Part 1}

At the beginning of August, I headed to the Iowa Memorial Union in downtown Iowa City to capture the wedding of Riley and Erin.  The weather was hot, but it was a gorgeous day.

Earlier this month, I had the pleasure of photographing the team at Precision Structures Inc, also know as PSI.  I love the big group portrait with their office and trucks in the background.

Adam + Courtney

 Can I just say, I had so much fun with these two!  Adam and Courtney were a joy to work with.  They have such fun personalities and we share many common interests (several of them a little nerdy...Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, you know, the classics).

Melissa + Lisa {Maternity}

At the end of July, I headed to the beautiful rose gardens behind the Des Moines Art Center for Melissa and Lisa's maternity session.  Years ago, I had the honor of capturing their beautiful wedding at the Shakespeare Theater in Iowa City's City Park.  So I was thrilled when they contacted me about photographing their maternity portraits.

Jeremiah + Angela {Wedding: Part 2}

Jeremiah and Angela's wedding ceremony, was a beautiful full catholic mass.  I love the light streaming in from behind her as her father walked her down the aisle.  She looks simply radiant!

Jeremiah + Angela {Wedding: Part 1}

We began our day with Angela and Jeremiah as they got ready at the Best Western in Fairfield.  As Angela relaxed with her bridesmaids, I was able to capture some beautiful details of her dress, shoes and jewelry.  I love details.  Each couple spends so much time planning out the details of their wedding day, I feel it's important to capture them.
