Melissa + Lisa {Maternity}

At the end of July, I headed to the beautiful rose gardens behind the Des Moines Art Center for Melissa and Lisa's maternity session.  Years ago, I had the honor of capturing their beautiful wedding at the Shakespeare Theater in Iowa City's City Park.  So I was thrilled when they contacted me about photographing their maternity portraits.

 I love having the opportunity to capture these amazing moments in my clients' lives and follow their story as it unfolds.  Seriously, I have the best job ever!

 

 The rose gardens were a beautiful setting for the session.  The warm evening light was simply perfect.  It made these already glowing beauties even more radiant. 

 
We walked the gardens for a while, using their beautiful hedges, paths, and plants as backgrounds.  Then we headed to the other side of the parking lot to a little hill that was covered in queen anne's lace.  STUNNING!  Seriously, I love, love, love this setting.

 It was such a joy to work with Lisa and Melissa again.  I hope to be seeing them again soon once their little one arrives.
