October

October has been a very busy month for me. Four weddings and lots of portrait sessions have kept me editing photos like crazy. I love it! Unfortunately, it means I haven't had time to update my blog or website. I promise, once things slow down a bit in the beginning of November, I will be posting a ton of photos of all the gorgeous people I have had the pleasure of working with this month.

The Rich Family

Tuesday evening, I had the Rich family in the studio. This is the 3rd year I've taken their family portrait and it is just amazing how much their children have grown. It's so nice to be an ongoing part of a family's life.

The Blakley Family

Tuesday morning, I met up with the Blakley family in Coralville at a wonderful property on the northside. Their little boys were simply darling. The youngest, like most little ones, was not terribly interested in getting his portraits taken but did a great job. The oldest was a pro though! It was a pleasure working with their beautiful family.

Justin & Jill {Engaged}

Sunday afternoon, I headed around Iowa City and Coralville with Jill and Justin for their engagement session. We stopped by some great locations including: the Iowa River Power Restaurant bridge, City Park, and Kinnick.

Travis & Erin {Just Married}

Last Saturday, I spent a fun day with Erin and Travis, as well as their wonderful friends and family. They were married at First Christian Church in Coralville and their reception was held at the Clarion Hotel in Cedar Rapids. They had a beautiful day.

RJ {Senior}

On Monday, RJ headed over to the studio for his senior portrait session. After the studio portion of our session, we headed up to Wellman's North Park and downtown Wellman for the outdoor portion of his portraits.

Jason & Lauren {Engaged}

This past Sunday, Jason and Lauren came over to the studio for their engagement session. After some time in the studio, we headed out to Foster Woods for some great outdoor shots.

Aaron & Jesse {Wedding}

Last Saturday, I spent my day with Aaron and Jesse at their country inspired wedding in Richmond. We photographed most of the formal portraits at the alter in Holy Trinity, but we were fortunate enough to steal away between the ceremony and reception to the little barn across the street for some great shots.

Chad & Emily {Engaged}

Last Friday, I spent the afternoon with Chad and Emily. We braved the chaos of Iowa homecoming and started our session at the Old Capitol. Despite it being so busy, we got some great shots. After the Old Capital, we headed to the bridge at Iowa River Power Restaurant and the nice trails there. They were so much fun to work with and such a gorgeous couple!
