Yesterday I met up at City Park with a wonderful family. They were celebrating their parents' 50th wedding anniversary and had the whole family together, which is quite the accomplishment since they live in Florida, their parents here in Iowa, and the rest of the family is in California. It was so much fun working with all of them and we got some great pictures!

Yesterday I photographed some bridal and informal portraits for Lyndsey. She married Tim this past Valentines' and shortly afterward he was deployed to Iraq. So we headed out yesterday to get some nice shots of her in her wedding dress and some more casual ones to send to him while he's overseas. We had a lot of fun playing around City Park and got some great pictures in the process.
This past Saturday I photographed the wedding of the gorgeous couple that is Tom & Chelsea. They were so wonderful to work with. Tom has a great sense of humor and Chelsea is adorable. They are such a beautiful couple and were positively glowing all day. We did all of our formal portraits outside in spite of the heat and humidity and I think they turned out beautifully (of course it helps to have such lovely subjects). I am still in the midst of editing photos from the day, but thought I'd share a few.

Today I finally got to meet Jake & Kristi who will be getting married in late October this year. They are a fun couple and we had a great time doing their engagement portraits. We started off our afternoon at Pagliai's Pizza where they had their first date and then hit up a few parks and the Ped Mall. I'm looking forward to photographing their wedding this October.

Today I had a blast photographing a group of siblings. They live scattered about the country now that they are grown, but were in Iowa City for a wedding and decided to get some group shots as a surprise for their parents. We had a lot of fun doing a pretty informal shoot out at City Park. Thankfully the rain stopped before we were scheduled to start.

I am done editing the rest of the images from Salina & Bill's reception. There were so many beautiful moments that it was hard to narrow the selection to share here. The formals in the park were gorgeous and a lot of fun to edit. The reception was full of fun times too. They arrived in style that's for sure, pulling up in Salina's father's Model-A. What an amazing car! The reception was filled with beautiful toasts, seeing old friends, and dancing the night away.
