Brian + Stacie {Wedding}

In October I had the pleasure of assisting Shuva Rahim of Accent Photographics with capturing the beautiful wedding of Stacie and Brian at the Celebration Farms Timber Frame Barn.  The autumn weather was perfect and the colors were just beginning to turn.  Perfection.

Corey + Teressa {Wedding: Part 1}

On a bright autumn day in the middle of October, I headed to Middle Amana to the Amana Colonies Golf Course for the wedding of Corey and Teressa.  There was a slight chill in the air, but the sun was bright and warm.  The trees were starting to show their golden colors, truly a beautiful sight and a perfect day for a wedding.

Kyle + Wendy {Wedding: Part 2}

 The ceremony at Kyle and Wendy's wedding was beautiful.  It was gorgeously decorated and attended by close friends and family.  Kyle's parents are passed and during the time that they would have been seated, Kyle carried two white roses to lay on the chairs that had been reserved for them.  It was so touching.  Though his parents were not there in person to witness his marriage to Wendy, they were certainly there in spirit.

At the end of August, I head to the brand new Noah's Event Center in West Des Moines to capture Wendy and Kyle's wedding day.  When I arrived, the setup was still in process and I had so much fun capturing all the beautiful details.  Wendy created a large variety of chalkboards to share information with her guests.  There was a chalkboard telling their timeline from first date to "I Do's"; a chalkboard to label the candy bar, guest book, gift table, and more; small chalkboards to reserve the parents' seating in the ceremony, and many more.  So beautiful.

Jeremiah + Angela {Wedding: Part 2}

Jeremiah and Angela's wedding ceremony, was a beautiful full catholic mass.  I love the light streaming in from behind her as her father walked her down the aisle.  She looks simply radiant!

Jeremiah + Angela {Wedding: Part 1}

We began our day with Angela and Jeremiah as they got ready at the Best Western in Fairfield.  As Angela relaxed with her bridesmaids, I was able to capture some beautiful details of her dress, shoes and jewelry.  I love details.  Each couple spends so much time planning out the details of their wedding day, I feel it's important to capture them.

Andy + Sarah {Wedding: Part 3}

Following the ceremony, we returned to the Holiday Inn for Andy and Sarah's reception.  As cocktail hour finished in the reception area, Andy, Sarah, and their bridal party relaxed for a bit in the bridal suite. 

Andy + Sarah {Wedding: Part 2}

After the first look, we headed to Blank Park Zoo in Des Moines for formal portraits and Andy and Sarah's wedding ceremony.  Our first stop in the zoo was the giraffe enclosure for the afternoon giraffe feeding.  The bridal party was given their own private deck from which to feed the giraffe.

Andy + Sarah {Wedding: Part 1}

 At the end of June, I headed to Des Moines to capture the wedding of Andy and Sarah.  We began our day at the Holiday Inn and Suites in West Des Moines.  Sarah and her bridesmaids were getting ready in the bridal suite.

Brian + Thea {Wedding: Part 1}

In April, I had the pleasure of photographing Brian and Thea's wedding.  We started our day as they were putting on their finishing touches at Zion Lutheran Church in Iowa City.  I love having the opportunity to capture some of the details before the couple gets dressed.  I adore Thea's choice of shoes. 

Dane & Tristan {Wedding: Part 1}

 We began our day at the Coralville Holiday Inn, as the bridal party was finishing their preparations for the day.  Tristan and her bridesmaids were getting into their gowns and touching up their make up, while Dane and his guys put the finishing touches on their suits and straightened their ties.

Sam & Kayla {Wedding: Part 1}

In the middle of October, I headed to Pella to capture the wedding of Sam and Kayla.  We began our day at their church, The Second Christian Reformed Church.  The church was beautiful and the decorations were gorgeous.  Before Kayla donned her wedding gown, we took a moment to capture some beautiful detail shots of it.

Brandon & Emily {Wedding: Part 1}

 At the end of September, I had the pleasure of traveling to Dubuque for the wedding of Brandon and Emily.  It was a beautiful, warm fall day.  My assistant, Greg, and I arrived shortly after lunch to begin photographing Emily as she got ready for her big day.

Kyle & Samantha {Wedding}

On October 19th, I had the pleasure of capturing Kyle and Samantha's wedding.  I started my day with Samantha and her bridesmaids as she got ready at the salon.   It is always fun to see the beautiful transformation that takes place at the salon.  It is not just a hairstyle and makeup.  You can see it in the glow a bride gets as she gets ready for her wedding day.  As the final pins are placed in her hair, her veil put on, and her makeup perfected, she transforms from a woman in love into a glowing, beautiful bride.
