Jace {Cake Smash}

This little guy had a lot of fun munching on his cake.  He wasn't too sure about it at first, but once he realized it was a tasty treat, he had a blast.

It was so much fun having Jace in the studio for his one year portraits!  I photographed his parents' wedding a few years ago and was thrilled when they contacted me to capture portraits of their adorable little guy.

The Harris Cousins

In early December, the Harris cousins came into the studio for a mini-session.  This group was full of energy and great smiles!

The DeFord Family

I met with the DeFord family at Wilson's Orchard during golden hour one beautiful October evening.  The weather was gorgeous.  Such a perfect evening for portraits!  I love their outfit choices.  The gray, black, and denim with a few pops of red were perfect for the orchard.

The Miller Family

I had such a wonderful time with the Miller family at Wilson's Orchard in October.  The weather was perfect and the location was gorgeous for their family portraits.  Their two little guys are so adorable!

The Martin Family

In late October, I met with the Martin family for their fall mini-session at Lake MacBride.  It was a beautiful fall day, and the sun was shining brilliantly through the golden leaves.  Lovely!

Jeremiah + Angela {Wedding: Part 2}

Jeremiah and Angela's wedding ceremony, was a beautiful full catholic mass.  I love the light streaming in from behind her as her father walked her down the aisle.  She looks simply radiant!

Jeremiah + Angela {Wedding: Part 1}

We began our day with Angela and Jeremiah as they got ready at the Best Western in Fairfield.  As Angela relaxed with her bridesmaids, I was able to capture some beautiful details of her dress, shoes and jewelry.  I love details.  Each couple spends so much time planning out the details of their wedding day, I feel it's important to capture them.

The Keber Family

The last week of June, the Keber family came over to the studio for their family portrait session.  It has been a few years since I had the pleasure of photographing their family.  Their girls have gotten so big.  Crazy how quickly time flies!

Skylar {Cake Smash!}

To celebrate a baby's first birthday, often parents will schedule a cake smash session.  While it is a very messy session, it is so fun to see them smashing and playing with their birthday cake. 

Skylar {One Year Old}

Skylar came into the studio this past weekend to celebrate her first birthday with a portrait session and cake smash session.  It took her a little while to warm up to getting her portrait taken, but once she did we got some great shots of this lovely little lady. 

Kaelyn {One Year Old}

 Hard to believe this little peanut is one already!  It seems like only a short time ago she was sweetly smiling in her sleep during her newborn session.  It is crazy how time flies!

Kaelyn {Nine Months Old}

 Talk about a little cutie pie!  In November, sweet little Kaelyn once again lit up my studio with her adorable smile.  It's hard to believe this little peanut is nine months old already.  Seems like just a few weeks ago I was capturing her newborn portraits. 

The Cory-Fisher Family

 

This fall, the Cory-Fisher family wanted to show off their Hawkeye pride during their family session.  The session took place at their home and was so much fun.  After a few "posed" portraits, the Cory-Fisher family had a ton of fun playing football in the yard as I caught action shots of their game.

The Schrader Family

 

At the end of September, I met up with the adorable Schrader children at Sunset Park in Washington for their mini session.  This cute quartet was full of energy during the session, but lots of fun to work with! 

The Smothers Family

At the beginning of October, I met up with the Smothers family for their Fall Mini-Session at the University of Iowa Art Building.  Seriously, how adorable is this family?  Their little girls were so great.  They braved the chilly weather and still had big smiles for the camera.

Ava {Three Year Old}

Sweet little Ava recently came into the studio for her birthday session.  Hard to believe this little cutie is three already!  It seems like it wasn't long ago that she was just a tiny newborn curled up in a basket in the studio. 

Maryann {6 Years Old}

Recently, I headed to southern Minnesota to photograph Maryann's six year portraits.  She did such a wonderful job during her session.  She was full of big smiles.  I have been photographing this sweet girl since she was just about one month old.  Hard to believe how the time has flown by and she is now six!
