AW Welt {Head Shots}

 Last week I headed to AW Welt Ambrisco in Iowa City to capture head shots for a few of their new employees.  I've been working with the AW Welt staff for many years now and always enjoy a chance to get over there and meet the newest members of their staff. 

Cecilia {3 Months Old}

 Meet the beautiful Cecilia.  At the end of June I had the pleasure of photographing the adorable little one.  She was amazing, truly a little model in the making.  She did great pushing herself up while on her tummy and had the most adorable little smile.  It was a joy to photograph her. 

Sophie {2 Years Old}

Things have been busy around the Geno Photography studio lately, so again I'm a little behind on sharing but I'm excited to share little Miss Sophie's two year portraits.  This little girl is the definition of adorable.  So cute with her beautiful blue eyes and soft golden curls. 

The Bottorff Family

I had a wonderful morning with the Bottorff family on Saturday. I am simply in love with the pictures from their session. They had an amazing orange chair they brought out to the front of their house for the photos. It was too perfect, capturing their beautiful family with their home in the background. Plus, how adorable are those kiddos?! Love 'em!

Trash the Dress: Lauren

As you know if you read my blog, I love trash the dress sessions. I think they are gorgeous. Who wouldn't want a chance to wear their beautiful gown again? My May 28th bride, Lauren, felt the same way. So we headed to the Ped Mall for an amazing session. The alley ways of the Ped Mall are such a perfect contrast to her dress. At the end of our session we stopped by Hotel Vetro's lobby. I love the picture of her on the black couch with the painting in the background. Love it!!

Head Shots

I recently had the pleasure of photographing the members of the AW Welt Ambrisco team. I have to say the head shots were a lot of fun and it was great meeting all of the wonderful people that work there.

Danny, Elsie, & Betsy

Yesterday, I headed to the Ped Mall to meet up with the adorable trio that is Danny, Elsie, and Betsy. Unfortunately, mother nature wasn't completely working in our favor and it was rather windy. These three did excellently despite the chill and wind. I think these shots are so cute! We found a couple really great loading doors to take pictures in. I think my favorites are the individual ones of them in front of the painted blue wall. It worked perfectly with their outfits and made Betsy's eyes just pop!

The Turner Family

Yesterday, I was up in Clermont, IA to photograph the Turner family. They were an energetic bunch and great to photograph. I have had a few sessions with them over the past year, including maternity and newborn session, and each time it's been a lot of fun. This is their first family photograph though.

Carter Joseph

Last Friday, I was up in St. Michael, MN for a newborn session with the sweet little guy that is Carter Joseph. He was so much fun to work with. It took a while to get him to fall asleep, but once he did his adorableness just multiplied. I love the photos we got with his daddy's dog tags. So sweet!

Godspeed 322nd EN CO

This past weekend, families and friends of the 322nd EN CO, myself and my girls included, gathered to wish our soldiers farewell as they leave for active duty. I had the honor of taking their unit photo shortly before the send off ceremony at Luther College's CFL on Friday. We are all praying for a swift and safe return for all of our soldiers.

Zach {Senior}

This past Tuesday, I was up in Minnesota to take my youngest brother-in-law's senior pictures. It was great getting to go out and have fun with him while taking pictures. It is still hard to believe he's old enough to be a senior. How time has flown!

The Swink Family

This past Saturday I spent the early afternoon with the Swink family at their home outside of Millersburg. We were able to get some great photos of their adorable grandchildren and family. They were wonderful to work with, very relaxed and fun loving.

The Munleys

So I am really behind on blogging my recent sessions. But I am so enjoying being busy. I cannot say enough about how much I love my job!

These photos are from my session in Fayette, Iowa with the Munley family. Such a sweet family! They definitely have their hands full with an active three year old and twin eight month old girls. The girls are all so lovely with their bright blue eyes. The twins are at the age that they do not want to stay still and moving in opposite directions so it was a bit challenging to get them both in frame, but it was a lot of fun all the same!

Gavin {4 Weeks Old}

My week has been filled with amazing little ones. On Thursday I photographed the little guy that is Gavin. Gavin did a great job putting up with us moving him around and even managed to snuggle up and sleep for a few photos. Simple gorgeous!

Devin Lee {6 Weeks Old}

On Wednesday afternoon I met up with this little guy's family. He did a great job with photos, quite the little model. I photographed him once before, but at that time he was still in his mommy's tummy. It's so fun to be part of my client's lives and share in their joy. What a wonderful job I have!

The Gundersons

I also had the pleasure of photographing Emma's family on Tuesday. She and her mommy and daddy live out in Colorado, so they took advantage of their time together to capture some formal family portraits.

Emma

This past Tuesday I had the chance to meet Emma. She is a sweet little 5 1/2 month old girl, with gorgeous eyes and a lovely smile. It took Emma quite a while to warm up to pictures, but in the end we got some wonderful photos.

AJ & Talia {Engaged}

Yesterday, I spent the afternoon with the gorgeous couple that is AJ & Talia. They were wonderful to work with, very fun and energetic. We started our afternoon in the studio. Then headed out to their home to get some pictures with their fur-babies, 2 corgis and a jack russel terrier. Finally we went out near Brown Deer Golf Course to a great bridge for some fun outdoor shots.

Stanley

This weekend I had 2 wonderful photos sessions. The first was a senior session with the handsome Stanley. He was a great and very cooperative subject to work with. We got some really nice studio shots.
