On New Year's Eve, I got to spend part of my day with this sweet little guy.  Jaxson was so tiny and adorable.  He wasn't super interested in sleeping during his session, but I think we still got some great shots.

Lance {Newborn}

Let's start the new year off right, with this handsome little guy.  Lance was such a sweet little guy during his session.  He was so awake and alert, but calm. Seriously, how can you not fall in love with this adorable little face!

Ainsley {Newborn}

Seriously, how sweet is Ainsley?!  At the time of her session, she was only four days old and just an itty bitty peanut.  She did wonderfully during her session and was full of adorable little smiles.  I'm smitten!

Jameson {Newborn}

I had such a great time capturing Jameson's newborn session.  At the time of his session, Jameson was two weeks old.  He was just tiny and perfect.  Despite being an older newborn, as typically sessions are done within the first week-ten days, he was a great sleeper and did so well during his session.  Often older babies are more awake and less cooperative with posing, but Jameson was a pro.

Murdoc {Newborn}

 At the beginning of July, sweet, little Murdoc came into the studio for his newborn session.  He was only seven days old.  So tiny!

Lucy {Newborn: Part 2}

Lucy was such a cooperative little one.  I adore the portraits of her curled up sweetly in the basket on the rustic wood floor.  She looks so peaceful and beautiful.

Newborn sessions are so beautiful.  I love them!  Not only do I get to spend several hours snuggling with teeny tiny little babies, but I also have the honor of capturing the precious details of the beginnings of a new person, full of infinite possibility and potential.

Eleanor {Part 2}

I had so much fun with the wraps, headbands, and flowers once this sweet girl drifted off to sleep.  I have quite a stockpile of props in the studio for newborn sessions and it's always fun to get them out and play.  I think my favorites are the lace headbands.  They look like sweet little crowns.  Simply adorable!

Eleanor {Part 1}

How sweet is this little girl!  Seriously, melts my heart!  Eleanor was just six days old when she came into the studio for her newborn session, just a tiny little seven pound peanut.  She fought sleeping for the first part of her session, but that was totally fine by me.

Newborn Sessions

 

 I'm so excited to have several newborn sessions coming up this year.  I love newborn sessions!  I think newborns are one of the most beautiful things in all the world.  They are so tiny and sweet, and full of infinite possibilities. 

Brett {Newborn}

Meet sweet, little seven day old Brett.  This adorable little guy came into the studio recently for his newborn portrait session.  Despite being a little fussy at first, Brett settled right into his session and did so well.  The benefit of getting babies in for their newborn session within the first ten days after birth is not only are they still teeny tiny and adorable, also they are still very sleepy and a little more flexible. 

Newborn Potraits {What to Expect}

The birth of a child is a wonderful and important event in your life.  Whether it is your first baby or your fourth, each baby is special and precious.  Babies grow so quickly, right before our eyes.  While in the fog of sleepless nights and getting into the routine of having a new baby in the house, it may seem like time is standing still, but your little, tiny one is growing by leaps and bounds each day.  It is so special to capture newborn portraits.  Newborn portraits are the perfect reminder of how little they once were and capture the love shared in your new family.
