A Wonderful Year
It's hard to believe 2014 is winding to a close. A year full of tiny newborns, beautiful seniors, loving families, and gorgeous weddings has come and gone. My schedule has been filled with amazing sessions and events. I have had the pleasure of photographing weddings all over the state of Iowa, including Des Moines, Mason City, and Dubuque. I think this year has been one of my absolute favorites.

RIP Monitor...
Last week, my monitor had technical issues that ended in it being retired. I'm a sentimental person, so it was sad to see it go. I've spent so much time in front of it over the past six years I've had it, I almost feel as though we've bonded. Another big problem with the timing of it's demise is that wedding season is in full swing and my editing ended up being queued until my new monitor arrived.

Around the Studio This Week
This week is a busy week of editing in the studio. Remodeling is on hold while weddings are in full swing. Last weekend's West Des Moines wedding of Ryan and Peter (one of their engagement portraits is showcased above!) was so much fun. I'm loving the images we created while we were there. This weekend's Clear Lake wedding will be beautiful as well. Can't wait!

Around the Studio This Week
I missed my morning blog post, but I haven't forgotten to share with you what's been happening around the studio this week. This week has a been a little slower around the studio in terms of sessions. I took off a few days to spend time with family, as my husband just returned home from the Dominican Republic (still a little jealous he got to go in the first place! j/k....maybe not ;) ). Then today I volunteered at my oldest daughter's school as they took their "trip to Australia." We were given the opportunity to go to Australia years ago and loved our trip there! It was really fun to talk about the adventures we went on during our short time in Perth. So, yeah. Studio remodeling has been at a bit of a standstill this week, but hopefully next week we'll be able to tackle some of these final few projects! I can't wait!!

Complimentary Guest Book {Book Before March 1}
As our gift to you, weddings booked between now and March 1 will receive a complimentary guest book, a $300 value! Guest books are a stunning way to display your engagement portraits and create a keepsake from your wedding. Instead of the traditional guest book, where guests fill in their names and addresses, guests are welcome to write notes and well wishes. The guest books are 8x8 lay-flat albums, with sturdy pages and the option of leather, fabric or a beautiful image-wrapped cover.
2014 wedding dates are limited, so contact us to schedule your consultation today!
