If you've been reading my blog, you know we've been working hard on getting our remodeling projects finished and everything looking great around the studio. It has been a long journey, filled with wood paneling and dry wall, carpet and laminate flooring, painting, trim, new doors, new steps, and many more projects. It has been a much bigger project than I ever anticipated. Doing the work ourselves has been both a blessing and a set back at times. I have to say though, as I sit here at my desk, I am so happy and thankful for all the long hours we have spent making the studio better.

RIP Monitor...
Last week, my monitor had technical issues that ended in it being retired. I'm a sentimental person, so it was sad to see it go. I've spent so much time in front of it over the past six years I've had it, I almost feel as though we've bonded. Another big problem with the timing of it's demise is that wedding season is in full swing and my editing ended up being queued until my new monitor arrived.

Studio Remodel...
If you've been reading my blog you know that the studio remodel has been a journey. I'm happy to say that almost all of the projects that were planned in the studio are done. Woo-hoo!! The bad part is the remodeling spilled over into my husband's office, which means the studio is still in a bit of a transitional state. We are hoping to be done with his office remodel this week though (at least I am hoping!).

Studio Doors!
Things have been busy around the studio and guess what's happening today! At long last, the doors to the studio and the new steps are finally being installed. I am so excited to finally see the finishing touches all come together. It will be so great to have the interior door way looking like it should!! Once everything is in place, I will share pictures of the finished project. I can't wait!

Progress!!
If you've been following my blog, you know I've been working hard on several remodeling projects in the studio. I'm SUPER happy to say that progress is being made. The ceiling is painted, the walls have been painted, the upper trim has finally been hung, new curtains are up, and some much overdue reorganizing has been taking place. It is so wonderful to see all the hard work turning into something wonderful. I love the gallery wall I just put up. It is a beautiful focal point in the consultation/office area of the studio. I still have more to hang on the walls and the interior doorway needs some TLC.

An Update {Remodeling}
Happy Friday! As I sit here at my desk, I am loving my freshly painted ceiling and new wall color. Painting has still been the name of the game lately. Though, I think I'm finally done with that portion of this whole project. Yay! Next on the list is trim. Hopefully, this weekend I'll be able to enlist some help installing the ceiling trim in the studio. Then, it'll be on to finishing up the stairs and hanging the new doors for the interior entrance to the studio. I cannot wait to get those hung!!

Remodeling the Studio {A Work In Progress}
So as many of my clients know, the studio has been a state of remodel for a while. While it's been usable the whole time, it's seen a lot of change. We have ripped out unsightly carpet and replaced with beautiful laminate flooring. We've torn down some 80s wood paneling from the walls (yes, ladies and gents, apparently that stuff still exists), dry walled, and painted. I swear it's the finishing touches that take forever. Since the bulk of this remodel job is being done by myself and my husband (who kind of just got roped into it because of my irrational fear of power tools, anyone else out there cringe at the thought of using a skill saw??), it's taken longer than I'd ever thought it would.
