Corey + Teressa {Wedding: Part 2}

After we finished with the bridal party portraits on the golf course, we headed back to the clubhouse to photograph the family portraits.  Unfortunately, the sunlight was harsh which limited our locations for portraits.  Thankfully on the back of the clubhouse there was a great spot for portraits.

Once the family portraits were finished, we headed up to the reception room to capture details shots.  I love the picture of their rings on the pumpkin.  Their cake was adorable with the "love birds" signs and the backdrop of "fall into love."  The cupcakes from Molly's Cupcakes in Iowa City not only looked amazing, but also played into the autumnal colors of the wedding.  Beautiful!

Soon, it was time for the ceremony to begin.  The clear blue sky was beautiful as the bridal party made their way down the aisle.  The line of trees beyond the pond had the perfect touch of autumn colors.  There were tears in both Corey and Teressa's mothers' eyes as the ceremony began (and throughout).  So lovely!

 The ceremony was simple and sweet.  The best part of all were the vows.  Corey and Teressa had chosen to write their own vows.  I love when couples do this.  Not only was it a wonderful display of their love, it was great to hear more about their journey together.  During the vows, not only were there a few tears from their mothers, but also a few from Teressa.  Beautiful!

When they were announced husband and wife, Corey and Teressa danced back down the aisle as their guests blew bubbles.  I think this is one of my favorite exits from a ceremony I've every had the pleasure of capturing!

After greeting their guests as they were dismissed, the bridal party headed off to relax while the guests enjoyed a cocktail hour.  At the end of the cocktail hour, the bridal party was announced and the reception began.

The evening was filled with heartfelt and humorous toasts from the best man, maid of honor, and both Corey and Teressa's dads.  This couple is truly surrounded by family and friends who love them dearly.

As the sun was setting, Corey and Teressa stole outside for a few more portraits together.  The evening light was perfect.

 Before we headed back inside, I played around with some long exposures with the bridal party.  I love how they turned out!

Check back soon for more from Corey and Teressa's wedding day!
