Peter & Ryan {Wedding: Part 2}

If you missed it, last week was Part 1 of Peter and Ryan's wedding day.  Now, onto Part 2!  Peter and Ryan's reception was held at the West Des Moines Sheraton Hotel.  Before the reception kicked off, we took a few moments to go around the beautiful hotel for a few more portraits of Peter and Ryan.

In addition to some beautiful natural lighting, we had fun with the lamps and small sitting areas around the hotel lobby.  I love the black and white image below!

Before the events of the evening began, we were able to get some great detail shots of the reception area.  I love this image of the bridesmaids' bouquets all lined up along the head table.

The events began with a warm welcome of the bridal party and of course the happy newlyweds.  After which, they headed straight into their cake cutting.  Their four tier cake was simple, but stunning.

Peter's best man, and brother, kicked off the evening's speeches.  His speech was funny and warm.  It even included visual aides, as he gave a nod to Peter's job as a project manager.

I love seeing the parents' reactions to the nights events.  As you can tell from the smiles on their faces, it was a great evening.

The maid of honor's speech was filled with memories of times spent with Peter and Ryan during high school and college.
Their first dance was beautiful.  You can really tell the love they have for each other by the smiles on their faces.

Congratulations, Peter and Ryan!  It was a pleasure working with you both and sharing in your special day.  Also a big thank you to Greg Frieden for helping me capture this wonderful event!
