On February 13th, I headed to the gorgeous Hotel Blackhawk in Davenport for the wedding of Jordan and Joanna. I had not had the pleasure of photographing and event in the hotel before and I can honestly say I hope I get to go back there soon! GORGEOUS! Beyond the location, Jordan and Joanna's wedding was stunning from start to finish.
Their wedding was an intimate gathering of close friends and family, filled with laughter and tears. The love surrounding this couple could be felt by everyone. The smile on Jordan's mother's face as he walked her down the aisle to her seat says it all. Love and joy, pure and simple. Stunning.
Jordan and Joanna saved their first look for the moment Joanna walked down the aisle. Following the ceremony, we began the formal family portraits while guests enjoyed cocktail hour.
Before making their grand entrance to the reception, we gathered all of their guests into the lobby of Hotel Blackhawk for a group shot. It was a fun moment. I love that they wanted this captured. Having such an intimate wedding, each and every person there held an important place in the hearts of Joanna and Jordan. What better way to celebrate and remember than with a group photo with all of the guests?
While their guests were heading in to find their seats in the reception, we took a few moments to capture some portraits of Jordan and Joanna from the balcony. The white marble tiles were a simple and beautiful backdrop for this gorgeous couple.
