The second weekend of July, I met up with Lee and Julie at the Iowa City Public Library for their engagement session. Julie is a professor of literature at UNI in Cedar Falls, so books hold a dear place in her heart.
Julie brought along one of her favorite books, "Pride and Prejudice," for the session, such a fun and personal touch.
As a fun homage to how Lee and Julie met, we used the library's computers for a few portraits. Lee and Julie first met online, so it was a perfect setting.
After the library, we walked down to Prairie Lights book store, another great setting for these two. Their wedding will have a book theme so it was great to tie that into their engagement session.
Though, Lee and Julie are a house divided. Lee is a Hawkeyes fan and Julie supports the UNI Panthers. It was fun to get a few portraits that showcased their team spirit.
