After the ceremony, the bridal party boarded a party bus and headed around downtown Iowa City for portraits. Our first stop was the Chemistry building at the University of Iowa. Many years before, Brian and Thea first met in a chemistry lecture, so it was a perfect location for portraits.
After the Chemistry building, we stopped by another building just down the road, though I'm not sure of it's name. Love, love, love the copper walls. The warm tones fit perfectly with Thea and Brian's gold and ivory wedding.
It was very cold and windy, but the bridal party was amazing. They were troopers and braved the chilly weather.
After the copper building, we stopped by the Ped Mall. I love the walkway by the Sheraton. The lighted decorations they have are lovely, such an improvement from what it looked like when I first started shooting in that area years ago.
Our final stop on the party bus was the Old Capitol. In anticipation of the rain, Brian and Thea had purchased umbrellas for their bridal party. It was fun to use them during the portraits.
Be sure to visit our blog again soon for the last installment of Brian and Thea's wedding day!
