It is important to think about what you want from your photographer. What are your expectations? Wedding photography services vary greatly from photographer to photographer. Do the photographers you are looking at offer packages or do you build your own wedding day coverage? If they offer packages, can you customize them to fit your wedding dreams?

Laurelin & Gabrielle {Snow Session}
I loved photographing the fun, though chilly, "Frozen" session I did with my youngest. So, I decided since the snow as falling again, I'd take both my girls out behind our house for a fun session in the snow. This was again, another very brief shoot. We were outside probably eight minutes tops, but I adore how the photos turned out. I think the girls had fun too. There were quite a few silly giggles shared during the session.

Finding the Right Wedding Photographer for You {Part 2: Personality}
Once you have narrowed down your selections of photographers to the ones whose photographic style fits your wedding dreams, it is important to select a photographer whose personality matches yours. You want to work with someone with whom you get along. You will be spending many hours on one of the most important day of your lives with this person. They will be by your side during the laughter, happy tears, and quiet moments on your wedding day. You want to feel comfortable with them. If you feel at ease with your photographer, you will look more relaxed and natural while in front of their lens.

Frozen {Inspired Session}
My daughters are in love with obsessed with Disney's
"Frozen." They both know the lyrics to "Let it Go" and "Do You Want to
Build a Snowman" by heart and I'm pretty sure one or the other has been
sung at least once a day since they saw the movie. I have to say, I
loved it to. Not only great music and a cute story, but I loved that
the "love story" was really about the unconditional love the two sisters
had for each other. Being a mother of two little girls, this melted my
heart.

Jayden {One Year Old}
Recently, Little Miss Jayden came into the studio for her birthday session. So adorable! She was such a busy and curious little one, fascinated by our cat, Rose, who likes to supervise sessions. She had fun with the red box in our studio, using it as a drum for a while and spending some time hanging out in it. It was a lot of fun working with this little cutie. Happy birthday, Jayden!

Angela & Karla {Wedding}
In August of last year, I assisted Greg Frieden Photography in capturing this beautiful wedding. The event was held at the Celebration Farms Timber Frame Barn, and the setting was beautiful. To make the day no less than perfect, was the love these two had for each other. It was such a joy to photograph their interactions. Some of my favorite pictures from the day are the ones of them dancing in the trees. Their expressions say it all.

322 EN CO {Dining Out}
I am the proud wife of a soldier. My husband serves in the US Army Reserves and has serve two tours in the Middle East. I am so fortunate that the unit my husband serves in is wonderful. They recently held a formal Dining Out. The Dining Out was held at the ever beautiful Hotel Winnesheik in Decorah. During the social hour and following the meal, I volunteered my time to photograph the couples in attendance. It is rare to see our soldiers in their dress uniforms, as most often they are in their regular camouflage, so it is a wonderful opportunity to get a beautiful portrait together. I truly enjoyed the event and was honored to photograph the couples. While I'm not terribly used to being on the other side of the camera, I could not miss this opportunity to have a portrait with my husband. A thank you to my father-in-law, who is also a retired soldier from the unit, for being willing to capture a portrait of me and my soldier. I cannot wait to put this portrait up in my home.
