Today I finally got to meet Jake & Kristi who will be getting married in late October this year. They are a fun couple and we had a great time doing their engagement portraits. We started off our afternoon at Pagliai's Pizza where they had their first date and then hit up a few parks and the Ped Mall. I'm looking forward to photographing their wedding this October.
Today I had a blast photographing a group of siblings. They live scattered about the country now that they are grown, but were in Iowa City for a wedding and decided to get some group shots as a surprise for their parents. We had a lot of fun doing a pretty informal shoot out at City Park. Thankfully the rain stopped before we were scheduled to start.
I am done editing the rest of the images from Salina & Bill's reception. There were so many beautiful moments that it was hard to narrow the selection to share here. The formals in the park were gorgeous and a lot of fun to edit. The reception was full of fun times too. They arrived in style that's for sure, pulling up in Salina's father's Model-A. What an amazing car! The reception was filled with beautiful toasts, seeing old friends, and dancing the night away.
Yesterday I traveled to Waterloo for Salina & Bill's wedding reception. They were married at the end of last month on the beautiful sandy beaches of Jamaica, and wanted to have a chance to celebrate with all their friends and family here in Iowa. We had a great time doing the formals. They are such a fun couple to work with and are great people all around. I'm go glad to have been a part of their celebration! Congratulations again Salina & Bill!!
This last weekend I attended the graduation party for my brother-in-law, Micah. It still seems rather surreal that he's old enough to graduate from high school. It is amazing how time flies. I took his senior portraits last summer at a park near his home in Minnesota. Since this weekend we celebrated his graduation I thought I'd revisit and share his senior portraits. Congratulations Micah and good luck!

If you remember, about a month ago I had the joy of photographing the beautiful mommy-to-be Marina. Earlier this month she delivered a happy and healthy little girl, Vanessa Grace. She was a very cooperative little one during the shoot. I think we got some great shots.

Today I photographed four beautiful ladies. They came in for a family session to capture four generations together. They were all so sweet and wonderful. I am happy to have been able to capture these special moments for them.
Yesterday I had a fun session with the sweet, little four-week-old Henry. He is just so cute! It took a while to get him calmed down and ok with the session. Once he calmed down he was an excellent subject! I have been photographing his older sister since she was about 6 months old, and I can definitely see the resemblance in the two. It has been so fun to get to know their family and watch it grow.
