Ryan + MItzi {Engaged}

It was a windy day at Lake MacBride when I met with Ryan and Mitzi for their engagement session.  Early March is not known for its calm weather.  Thankfully, the rain in the forecast stayed away and the temperature was a fair bit above freezing.  The clouds lent themselves to some gorgeous even lighting for Ryan and Mitzi's session.

Brian + Chelsea {Engaged}

On a chilly afternoon at the end of December, I met with Brian and Chelsea for their engagement session.  It's been a while since I've had the opportunity to capture a winter engagement session.  I love how the portraits turned out!

Stuart + Marybeth {Engaged}

 

 Earlier this month, I met up with Stuart and Marybeth for their engagement session at the Lake MacBride spillway area.  It was a perfect evening for portraits, albeit a bit warm.  Golden evening sun, a gorgeous couple, and a beautiful location; it really doesn't get any better.

Corey + Teressa {Engagement: Part 2}

After our time at the spillway, we headed over to the swimming beach at Lake MacBride.  Our first location was the dock on the west side of the beach.  The wooden boards were a beautiful, neutral backdrop.

 Memorial Day weekend, I met up with Corey and Teressa at the Lake MacBride spillway.  I love the spillway area; the beautiful rapids, the rocks, the water, and the trees.  Add golden hour to the mix, and it was perfection.

Mark & Janeen {Engaged}

In early October, I headed up to Sutliff to photograph Mark and Janeen's engagement session.  We began our session at Janeen's parents farm.  Mark brought his old pick up out to the field for the session.  It has been a project of his for a while and he was able to get it up and running in time for the session.  I love the image of them through the rear window.

Joel & Laura {Engaged}

At the end of April, I headed out to Lack McBride to meet with Joel and Laura for their engagement session.  Despite some chilly wind over the lake, we had a great time.  The over cast skies made for gorgeous, soft light.  They brought out one of Joel's small boats for their pictures.  He is from the Pacific Northwest and boating is a big part of his life.  It was so nice to be able to incorporate that into their engagement session.
