Thomas + Lisa {Wedding: Part 2}

 After the ceremony, we headed outside for a few rather chilly, but fun portraits before heading to the reception venue, the Iowa City Sheraton.  I love the alley behind the church.  The long block window was a gorgeous backdrop for portraits.  A big kudos to the bridesmaids for braving the cold and ice for these portraits!

Once we finished our quick session in the cold, we all headed to the Sheraton.  During cocktail hour, Lisa and Thomas greeted their guests in lieu of doing so as a receiving line following the ceremony.  While they mingled with guests, we had the opportunity to get detail shots of the reception hall before guests arrived.  I also had the opportunity to photograph some more shots of their rings.  I love them on the kisses.  Too cute!

In lieu of a grand entrance, Lisa and Thomas made a lovely speech thanking their families and bridal party for being part of such a wonderful day.  The rest of the evening was filled with beautiful toasts from both of their fathers, their matron of honor, and best man.  You could feel the love and support this beautiful couple had from all their friends and family.

After the toasts, the dancing began.  The first dances were lovely, filled with smiles and hugs and happiness.  Then the dance floor filled and the dance got into full swing.  Such a lively bunch!  They kept Travis, from Unique Events, busy.  They even managed to dance enough to break apart the dance floor a couple of times.  It was fun to watch!

Before our time at the wedding was through, we stole away to the Ped Mall with Lisa and Thomas.  I love, love, love the after dark shots!

Congratulations again to Thomas and Lisa!  It was a beautiful day.  Shuva and I had a wonderful time working with you both!

A big thank you to Shuva Rahim of Accent Photographics for assisting me with this beautiful day!
