Stuart + Marybeth {Wedding: Part 1}

I began my day with Marybeth and her bridesmaids at the gorgeous Hotel Winnesheik in Decorah.  My assistant, Michael, began at the Dug Road Inn with Stuart and his groom's party as they got ready for the day.

The details Stuart and Marybeth had planned for their outfits and wedding accessories were so personal and beautiful.  Stuart's tie was perfect!  I think it's perhaps my favorite tie...ever.  The adorable dinosaurs on it played to the wedding theme, which included amazing dinosaur ring pillows and dinosaur bubbles to send off the couple.  Love, love, love!!

Marybeth's bouquet included several beautiful broaches that had been her grandmother's.  They added a beautiful touch to her flowers.  In her hair, she wore a stunning broach that her mother had worn on her wedding day.  I love the addition of heirloom pieces, such a perfect way to personalize a wedding.

Before leaving for the first look, Marybeth shared a first look with her father.  Such a beautiful moment.

After they were both ready for the day, we headed out to Seed Savers, north of Decorah, for their first look in a beautiful apple orchard.  After their first look, Stuart gave Marybeth a gift.  He presented her with a beautiful necklace for her to wear to their wedding.  Lovely!

The orchard had a beautiful view of the valley.  I love the portraits of Stuart and Marybeth with the rolling hills behind them.  Perfection!

The bridal party joined us at the orchard for a few portraits before we headed off to the church.  One of the most adorable members of the bridal party was their dog, Sunshine.  She was wearing a floral collar, which she wasn't too sure about, but she looked so sweet wearing it.
