At the beginning of the November, I met up at the Shakespeare Garden in Ellis Park in Cedar Rapids with the Matthess family. The golden hour light beautifully illuminated their family portrait session and the fall colors in the park were stunning. It was so enjoyable working with their family.
I think we got some really fun shots of them together and some great portraits of each of the kids individually. The frame on the hilltop that over looked the river made a fun prop for the session. Instead of shooting towards the river, as the frame was deigned for, we used the back of it and shot with the oak trees, full of autumn color, in the background. Love it! Did I ever mention how much I love fall? :)
