Kyle & Samantha {Wedding}

On October 19th, I had the pleasure of capturing Kyle and Samantha's wedding.  I started my day with Samantha and her bridesmaids as she got ready at the salon.   It is always fun to see the beautiful transformation that takes place at the salon.  It is not just a hairstyle and makeup.  You can see it in the glow a bride gets as she gets ready for her wedding day.  As the final pins are placed in her hair, her veil put on, and her makeup perfected, she transforms from a woman in love into a glowing, beautiful bride.

My assistant, Greg, headed to the church to capture Kyle and his groomsmen.  As a throwback to their past times spent together, the guys spent the morning playing N64.  After several turns of dominating at Mario Kart, Kyle played a game of pool with his nephew, the ring bearer.

The first look took place at a park just down the street from the church.  Kyle stood under a walnut tree as Samantha came and tapped him on the shoulder.  As Kyle turned around, you could see the joy in their faces.  I love first looks!

Despite a slight Autumn drizzle, we were able to get some beautiful shots at the park before heading to the church for the formal session.  The sanctuary matched well with Kyle and Samantha's colors.  The purple and green stained glass matched beautifully with their wedding colors.

Their ceremony was beautiful and attended by a wonderful gathering of friends and family.  After the ceremony, we headed downtown for the bridal party to relax a bit and capture some more portraits.  My favorite time to photograph the bridal party is after the ceremony, when we can go somewhere more relaxed and get some fun shots.

During the reception, we took Kyle and Samantha out for some after-dark urban shots.  I love, love, love the portraits we captured in the street lights.

Congratulations, Kyle and Samantha!  Thank you for allowing us to share in and capture your beautiful day.  Also, thank you to Greg Frieden for assisting me.
