FAQs {Wedding}

Happy Friday everyone!  I thought I'd take a moment today to share some answers to a few of our most frequently asked questions about wedding photography.

* Do you bring back up equipment with you to the wedding?
Yes, absolutely!  I come prepared with a back up camera body, a spare flash, extra bulbs for my lights, an array of lenses, extra batteries, additional SD/CF cards, and a laptop to back up files.  I feel it is so important to come prepared.

* Do you work with an assistant?
Yes, all of my wedding collections include two photographers (myself and my assistant).  My assistant and I have been photographing together for years and work great as a team.  Our photographic styles compliment each other and help to capture your wedding day to the fullest.

* What do you wear to weddings?
I dress in black or gray slacks and a nice blouse.  I do not generally wear dresses to weddings, as they limit my movement, but I always strive to look professional and stylish.

* Do you prefer posed or candid images?
I feel every wedding needs a nice mix of the two.  Certainly, you will want formal, posed portraits together, as well as with family and your wedding party.  The wedding day is also made up of so many special moments.  Candid (often referred to as photojournalistic) portraits are a very important part of wedding day photography.  They truly tell the story of the wedding day and show the emotions and interactions as the celebration unfolds.  In addition to images of you and your guests interacting, I feel detail shots are important.  You spend so much time and energy planning your wedding day from the venue to the table decor.  These wonderful details should be captured to fully tell the story of your wedding.

* Is there a limit to the number of final images we receive?
No, each wedding is unique and deserved to be documented in a way that best fits the day.  An average wedding yields between 600-900 final images.

* Do you include an engagement session?
Yes, I love engagement sessions!  It is such a wonderful opportunity for us to get to know one and other better before the wedding day.  I get the opportunity to learn about how to capture you at your best and make you feel more relaxed in front of the camera.  Each wedding collection includes a complimentary engagement session.

I hope these answers help you to get to know Geno Photography a little better.  Be sure to check back later for more answers to frequently ask questions and more!
