On October 8th, I photographed the wedding of Kent and Sam. They were the winners of our 2011 Amazing Wedding Giveaway and I can see why. Not only do they have a beautiful love story, but they are surrounding by such wonderful, amazing, and supportive friends and family. It was a beautiful day in so many ways.
Sam is an avid crafter and put so much time in to creating all of the beautiful details seen all over throughout the day. Their wedding was held at the Press Box in Kinnick Stadium. We took formal pictures by the art building, at Carver-Hawkeye Arena, and in the Press Box. Their ceremony was quite unique, instead of a unity candle or a sand ceremony, they created a painting together. It was a lot of fun to watch.
Their reception was also held in the Press Box. It was very upbeat with lots of wonderful dancing. I have to say, it's been a while since I've been to a wedding where there were so many enthusiastic and fun loving dancers on the floor. We also had a lot of fun with their photo booth. Guests enjoyed writing messages to the couple and being silly.
