Last Saturday, I kicked off wedding season 2011 with an amazing group of people. Brooke and Zach are so kind and fun, and they were surrounded by great friends and family. It was a beautiful day in all aspects: a glowing couple, beautiful weather, and surrounded by love from friends and family. Such a wonderful thing to be part of. I love my job!
Their ceremony was held at the UCC church in downtown Iowa City. I love, love, love the front doors to the church. Gorgeous carved wooden doors, painted a rich red. Love!! We started our formal session there with the happy couple. Then we headed over to the Old Capital for some more outdoor shots. The inside of the church is lovely too. They have some wonderful stained glass windows that we took full advantage of. There is something magical about light pouring through stained glass.
Their reception took place at Brown Deer in Coralville. Before the couple went in, we took a few moments to grab some shots on the deck. Their reception was so upbeat and fun. It was a pleasure to photograph. I am in love with their first dance photos.
